Hannah Roberts

Director and Kindergarten Teacher

Hannah founded Robin’s Nest in June 2011, when the setting began as a small childminding centre based in the Old Orchard Cottage on the grounds of Emerson College. In 2015, Robin’s Nest moved to the yurt it is in today in a big community effort to clear the previously over-grown space and erect the structure. Hannah has since been heavily involved in creating community initiatives in the College.

As a fully qualified Early Years Waldorf teacher, Hannah studied at the London Steiner Waldorf Early Years training, where she received her NVQ level 3. Throughout and following her training, she worked in the kindergartens of the Waldorf School of Southwest London and St Michaels Steiner School in London. She was also the Resident Storyteller at Horniman Museum in London, where she would deliver stories and crafts based around nature to inner-city children.

Originally from London, Hannah moved to the Forest Row area with her youngest son in 2011. Hannah’s other interests include meditation, plant medicine, singing and geomancy.
